JOHN DILLINGER Jr.

1903-1934

With the release of the movie, "Public Enemies", there has been renewed interest to visit his grave in Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis.  I have visited Crown Hill on numerous occasions to take pictures but never could find Dillinger's grave.  So today, armed with my camera and a map provided by the cemetery office, off I went to get my pictures.   Even with the map I could not find the grave but a couple of joggers in the cemetery pointed me in the right direction.  Finally I found the family plot and got my pictures.

Notice the damage to the  marble where visitors have chipped away a piece to take as a souvenir.  The cemetery has to replace the headstone every so often as it starts to disappear.
Also there was a couple of coins placed on the headstone.
